The Tennis Center is situated in the greater Whittier Narrows Recreation Area.

The recreation area features 1400 acres of park land with fishing lakes, picnicking areas, playgrounds, an equestrian center, trails, a multipurpose athletic complex, military museum, soccer fields, volleyball courts, and archery, skeet, pistol and trap ranges. Rentals are available for boats, surreys, bikes and group picnics. Annual events include carnivals, festivals and dog shows.
